Mistery Machine was a two-night public art event for community heat mediation at Groundwork Somerville (August 20, 2021) and Chuckie Harris Park (August 29, 2021).

The immersive, interactive activity featured 3D video art (Ben K. Foley and Allison Tanenhaus) electronic music (The Square Root of Negative Two [Robin Amos and Blaik Ripton], and Doug Bielmeier), all local creatives.

Sponsored by Keep Cool Somerville, a mini grant program by the City’s Office of Sustainability & Environment, and supported by a grant from the MAPC (Metropolitan Area Planning Council) Accelerating Climate Resiliency Grant Program, the event was also one half of Somerville Synth Crawl!
