The work is derived from recordings made using a 12-channel asymmetrical array composed of different microphones, each with distinct directional, spectral and dynamic characteristics. The 12 channels are encoded as point sources in an ambisonic field that do not correspond to their original arrangement, retaining their internal relationships while abandoning any direct geometric equivalence with the recording array. This method enables a form of non-isomorphic spatial reconstruction in which the geometry of recording is decoupled from that of reproduction. Temporal, spectral and behavioural relationships within the recorded materials are retained, while their original spatial configuration is abandoned and reconstituted within a different topology. The title reflects the curiosity, playfulness and disruptive nature of the method used for the collection and reproduction of the sound materials of the piece. This is also reflected in sound utterances in the work and their interaction. These are often chaotic, colliding unpredictably and develop dense and unstable relationships.
This is a Higher Order Ambisonic work. Although a stereo file has been submitted for your consideration and for performance. A multichannel file can be created if I have some details about your system.
